Art Tips

Whatever your age, I hope you will always enjoy being creative and experiment with art just for fun …and if you wish one day, maybe for illustrating books for children.

When there is no pressure to create perfect works, book illustrators need to ‘mess about’ with unfamiliar techniques, push boundaries, and discover what is possible and what is impractical. This allows the creator to fearlessly work in ‘new’ ways (that aren’t really new) when working on a book.

This section of my websisite will grow to provide tips for art techniques for children and adults to try, ideas to stimulate the imagination, and divulge publisher workings and expectations.
